As a business owner, you’ve got to keep track of your expenses and income. Many small businesses go under because they don’t do this and wind up owing six figures in taxes, forcing them to close down.
The Bad News: Selecting accounting software and learning how to use it will hurt your brain if you don’t have accounting experience.
The Good News: Accounting software is more intuitive and easy to use than ever before AND there’s an abundance of bookkeepers who can help you affordably.
In my experience, FreshBooks is the best option and WaveApps is an option if you’re looking for a free solution, but it requires a lot more work.

Option 2: Wave Accounting
(Free, sort of)
WaveApps is a great solution for someone without a lot of income, lots of time, and looking to minize expenses.
Is it really free? Yes! They make their money through credit card fees if you use them as a merchant and if you want to use them to pay yourself or your employees salary.
Well, sort of free. I found it a lot more time consuming to use Wave Accounting versus FreshBooks because of FreshBooks’ extensive automation.
